General
Village Center
Yes it is. We focus on all the hand strikes, elbows, knees and kicking that Tae Kwon Do is known for. However, you will notice we practice an enhanced level of blocking that includes traditional Tae Kwon Do blocks, palm blocking, and center line blocking, to name a few. Lastly, unlike a lot of schools, we will practice a minimal number of forms - this is so we have more time to focus on our free flowing skills.
The pricing will be competitive with similar schools, but we will be running a Grand Opening Special for the first members and other specials at times.

Prior experience will obviously benefit you in class. You will follow the drills and execute combinations with more ease. However, we can't create specialized / separate higher level training that is more advanced than the current class. So any prior experience students will have to train along side the rest of the class and grow as the class advances. As far as any belts that have been earned from other schools, we can talk about that.
As a new studio, we need to focus on teen and adult training. We will accept kids as young as 10 with the understanding that these are real martial arts classes. This do NOT mean that the classes are too rough for kids / teens or that the classes are unsafe in any way. It means that we cover real concepts - mental skills that are taught along side the flashy kicks and punches that are just as important as the physical movements. Kids younger than ~10 need a different approach to stay focused and get the most out of the class. We will be adding kids classes at a later time.
